Amie has her undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. After teaching for a few years, her focus turned to starting her own family. Because she has such a passion for working with young children and their families, she looked for opportunities that were compatible to a stay-at-home mom.

Music Together of the TN Valley was first brought to Alabama in 2005 by Amie after she fell in love with the program while participating with her 8 week old son, Connor. They enjoyed 3 song collections while living in Georgia. Unfortunately, an immediate move to Alabama ended their music experience. She was pregnant with her daughter Graysen, and desperately wanted to participate in a music program the whole family could join together. Without hesitation, Amie trained to become a Music Together^® teacher and director, opening her first location in Madison at Messiah Lutheran Church. Within a year, she was able to offer Huntsville classes at A Nurturing Moment.

Sara grew up in Dallas, Texas and is fairly new to the Madison area. She attended Harding University in Arkansas where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Music Education. While taking Chorus at Harding, she met her husband Aaron. Shortly after college they married and took up residency in Alabama. They both are very musical and love to sing. Their family includes two adorable dogs. Sara has been the music director and assisant band director at Discovery Middle School for the past three years. However, she's been looking for opportunities outside of her job to share her love of music with other families. When introduced to the Music Together curriculum, she instantly fell in love with the program. Sara regularly participates in the classes. She will begin her teaching apprenticeship this winter and will complete her training by August 2008.

Classes will be taught by both Amie and Sara.
